  • Basic computer skills

Why study here

  • AutoCAD, SolidWorks and CAD/CAM

You learn 3D/2D modelling in modern design software and writing control programs for the machine, hands-on.

  • Practice on a Hyundai-Wia CNC machine

Straight after the theory, you start machining parts on a real production CNC lathe. Not a training mock-up — the equipment used in a plant.

  • Dormitory and meals on campus

A comfortable dormitory and three hot meals a day for those travelling in from the regions, at very reasonable daily rates.

  • International ISO certificate

At the end of the course, on top of the local certificate — the option to sit a practical exam against an international ISO standard, with the right to work at foreign companies.

Course structure

No difference — there is one programme: every student follows the same 3-month path, from CAD/CAM design to machining independently on the Hyundai-Wia machine.

  • C-3

    Single programme — 3 months

432 hours. CAD/CAM design, measurement and metrology basics, G/M-code programming, through to machining parts independently on the Hyundai-Wia machine.

    3 months · 432 hours · 5m so'm/month
  1. Month 1

    Theory and design

How a CNC machine is built, G- and M-code basics, CAD/CAM design in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

  2. Month 2

    Practical programming

3D/2D drawings of parts, MDI and cyclic programs, loading programs into the machine's memory and starting to machine metal.

  3. Month 3

    Advanced practice

Roughing and finishing techniques, working to tolerances and cutting threads, writing programs for non-standard parts independently.

Full syllabus

By month and stage, with hours at section level. 432 hours in total. The brochure gives hours only at the month (stage) level — there is no breakdown by topic.

    Questions

The questions asked most often about this programme.

Can I learn CNC programming from scratch?

Yes. The programme starts from scratch: month 1 covers theory and CAD/CAM basics, months 2 and 3 cover practical programming and machining on the Hyundai-Wia machine.

How long is the course and how many hours?

3 months, 432 hours — 144 hours for each of the three stages: theory and design, practical programming, advanced practice.

Why do I need the international ISO certificate?

It gives you the right to work as a CNC operator or programmer abroad and on international projects. It costs 3m so'm (exam and material), separate from the local certificate.

I can already run a CNC machine and only need the certificate — is that possible?

Yes, you can sit the local-standard exam directly, without the course: 1m so'm.

Is there a separate charge for equipment and software?

No, use of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CAD/CAM and the Hyundai-Wia machine is included in the course price.

Can I live in the dormitory?

Yes, the dormitory is 75,000 so'm a day, and meals (three a day) are 75,000 so'm a day. Both are optional and not included in the course price.
